The Goal
The home simply needed to be updated. The Living Room, which had been converted into a pool table room by the previous owner, needed to be restored back to its original function, but with a tasteful, elegant, and timeless feel to reflect our client’s sophisticated tastes. The daughter's bedroom ( pictured below ) needed new furnishings and a fun color palette that would not only work for her now but throughout her teenage years. The bathrooms and laundry room required a complete renovation.
Papyrus Home Design worked with the homeowner to develop the home’s new design scheme, and then brought in their team of professionals to implement the design. This included their painter, cabinetmaker, custom drapery workroom, and custom flooring/rug supplier.
A new furniture layout was developed. The long living room was a bit of a challenge, so multiple seating areas were created.
Textured rugs and walls unify the living spaces. An international mix of furniture helps to create an eclectic yet sophisticated feeling. To add layers and depth, a mixture of metal finishes were used.
