The homeowners desired interiors that harmonized with the natural surroundings and provided the family with ample lake views while cooking. The Goal: To create a kitchen with an open floor plan that would meet the needs of a family of six plus their cats and dogs.  The redesign also included reconfiguring the existing mudroom and powder room, as well as many updates to the decor of the living room. PHD removed a peninsula that was blocking the lake view and natural light, and added a large island with a prep sink. This became a great space for the children to do their homework while the parents were prepping meals.
